About VCortex

Founded in 2005, VCortex aims to be a leader in automated Color-Control solutions for the Printing Industry. Our products provide 10X reduction in color set-up times, assure color consistency across print runs, provide objective print quality proofing, and help customers to communicate their color requirements accurately. VCortex products integrate easily and seamlessly into existing and new offset sheet-fed printers.

Management

Asa Ziv, President & CMO, Board Member.

Asa Ziv has more than 30 years of management and engineering experience in printing, electro optical and aviation hi-tech industries.

Mr. Ziv established El-Op's (now Elbit) Laser plant and under his leadership it became a worldwide recognized company. After successful marketing and business development service in Israel Aircraft Industries, Mr. Ziv joined Scitex.

As a founder and VP Marketing and Business Development of Aprion Digital, a Scitex' spin off, Mr. Ziv developed sales and distribution channels, brought investors and strategic partners (IBM, Hitachi Koki, Toyo Ink and others), and the company developed into a highly appreciated firm in the hi-tech Printing industry.

Mr. Ziv holds degrees in Physics and Engineering.

Zeev Mairav, CEO & VP R&D, Board Member.

Zeev Mairav has 20 years of hi-tech product development experience, of which more than 10 years have been in the printing industry. In his last role prior to VCortex he served as a development manager of the main product line of AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), where he directed a multidiscipline development of machine vision, imaging electronics and color science based products, and played a major part in advancing AVT from a startup company to a world wide leader in the print inspection domain. Zeev's thorough knowledge of printing industry needs and available technologies gives VCortex the advantage of being positioned at the forefront of its market. Mr. Mairav has a B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics from the Bar Ilan University and an MBA degree from the Haifa University.

Dan Falk, Board Member

Dan Falk served as the President and Chief Operating Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of Sapiens International Corporation N.V., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Orbotech, and held senior positions at Israel Discount Bank Ltd.

Dan Falk serves as the chairman of the board of directors of Atara Technology Ventures and is a member of the boards of directors of Nice System Ltd, Orad Ltd, Netafim Ltd, Visionix Ltd., Ramdor Ltd., Medcon Ltd. and Advanced Vision Technology Ltd. He received a master's degree in business administration in 1973 from the Hebrew University School of Business.

Anat Segal, Board Member

Anat Segal has over 14 years of experience in corporate finance and strategic business development. Ms. Segal specializes in strategic and financial business planning, business development and raising capital, including public offerings, venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions - with a strong focus on high-tech companies in various stages of development.

Ms. Segal has been actively involved in the initiation and execution of numerous IPOs on the NASDAQ, Tel Aviv and European stock exchanges, M&A transactions of Israeli technology companies, as well as in raising capital for private companies from top tier VCs and strategic investors.

In the past four years, Ms. Segal has run her independent management services and investment banking boutique, which has accumulated a portfolio of over 20 clients and over $100 million of funding and business transactions. Clients, ranging from seed stage to public companies, include Actelis Networks, E4X, Telrad-Connegy, Genoa Color Technologies, Lambda Crossing, Kardan Technologies, Veon and others. Ms. Segal also serves on the boards of directors of several public companies, including Attunity (NASDAQ: ATTU) Orad, (London & Frankfurt) Marathon Venture Capital Fund (TASE) and Priortech (TASE).

Prior to establishing her advisory practice in January 2000, Ms. Segal was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance at Tamir Fishman & Co., then Israeli strategic affiliate of Hambrecht & Quist (which later merged with Chase JP Morgan). Other positions held by her include VP Investment Banking at Robertson Stephens/Evergreen, the Israeli practice of Robertson Stephens & Co (joint venture with Evergreen Capital Fund). From 1990 to 1995, Ms. Segal worked for the Bank Hapoalim Group International Division and for its Investment Banking arm, Poalim Capital Markets.

Ms. Segal holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management, an MBA in Finance, and an L.L.B. - all from the Tel Aviv University.

Yossi Biran, Board Observer

Yossi Biran was a founder and CEO of an international joint venture for development and production of motion control products. Mr. Biran has a 25 years record in managing industrial hi tech developments. Mr. Biran holds degrees in Engineering and Business Administration.
